厳戒体制のキエフに入った。町の至る所にバリケードや土嚢が積み上げられ兵士が守備に就く。迫り来るロシア軍を迎え撃つ市街戦の準備は着々と進んでいる。今日も夕方街頭で兵士にインタビュー中、砲撃音が重低音で鳴り響いた。一般市民の姿はあまり見かけないが、今も200万人が街に残るとも言われる。戦時下の人々の暮らしとはどのようなものなのか、彼らは何故逃げないのか、それぞれの物語を取材していく。
We entered Kiev on high alert. Barricades and sandbags are piled up
all over the city and soldiers take up defensive positions.
Preparations are steadily underway for an urban war against the
oncoming Russian troops. Today, while interviewing a soldier on the
street in the evening, the sound of artillery fire rang out in a heavy
bass tone. Although not many civilians are seen, it is said that 2
million people still remain in the city. We will cover each story to
find out what life is like for the people in wartime and why they do
not flee.
